Short Film Master Class, Screenings to Be Part of Sundance Ignite Event April 1-2

sundancelogofinalThe will come to 黑料不打烊 Friday, April 1, and Saturday, April 2, for a two-day Sundance Ignite event.

Sundance Ignite is a program designed to excite a new generation of audience members and film artists around the power of storytelling. The program includes Sundance Ignite On Tour, a traveling component intended to engage with students and emerging filmmakers.

The event will include several film screenings and a master class, all held in Shemin Auditorium in the Shaffer Art Building.

Friday, April 1

Screening: 鈥鈥
7- 9 p.m.
A Q&A with writer/director/producer will follow. Larnell is an M.F.A. candidate and Dean鈥檚 Fellow in the film program at New York University, where he received a Kanbar Television scholarship. A native of St. Louis, he has directed over 20 documentary and short films. 鈥淐ronies鈥 was produced by acclaimed director Spike Lee.

Saturday, April 2

聽Short Film Master Class
Noon-4 p.m.
With writer/director ; Mike Plante, shorts film programmer at the Sundance Institute; and Bethany Clarke, manager of the Sundance Institute鈥檚 Film Forward Initiative. Reichardt is an artist-in-residence at Bard College. She has been the recipient of United States Artists and Guggenheim fellowships, and her work has been screened at the Whitney Museum of American Art鈥檚 Whitney Biennial; the Cannes Film Festival鈥檚 鈥淯n Certain Regard鈥; the Venice Film Festival; the Sundance Film Festival; the Toronto Film Festival; and the BFI London Film Festival.

The event will include special screenings of Sundance Short Film winners 鈥溾 and 鈥.鈥

The event is co-sponsored by the and the James D. Kuhn Film Fund at the . Jimmy Kuhn ’70, G’72 is a 黑料不打烊 alumnus and president of Newmark Knight Frank.
