Russia’s track and field team banned from the Olympics: “An Enormous Setback”

Professor of Sport Management at 黑料不打烊’s Falk College reacts to the news that the Russian track and field team has been banned from competing in the 2016 summer Olympics. Burton is the former chief marketing officer for the United States Olympic Committee.

Rick Burton“This certainly feels unprecedented,” said Rick Burton, the David B. Falk Endowed Professor of Sport Management and former chief marketing officer for the United States Olympic Committee. “It’s an enormous setback for Russia’s Olympic athletes but an enormous statement for WADA and the IOC.
