College Students Pay Just $1 Daily Admission for Remainder of State Fair, Free Transportation Provided by SU

In recognition of New York State’s world-class colleges and universities, the State Fair will offer college students $1 admission with a valid school identification beginning Wednesday and running through Labor Day. The promotion is one of four Special Fair Days announced by Gov. Andrew Cuomo to celebrate the success of the first half of the 2017 fair.

In addition, Friday will be SU and NY Sports Day. Visitors who wear a hat, T-shirt or jersey of their favorite, school, college or professional sports team will receive $1 admission, in honor of the home opening game of the ϲ football season.

Free transportation for the fair will be provided to students. The transportation schedule for the weekend is as follows:

Saturday, Sept. 2:
• Buses will run continuously from College Place to the Orange Lot Stop 3 from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• A fully accessible bus, a Bernie Bus (green and white shuttle) will run continuously by request from College Place to the New York State Fair Main Gate, also known as the Pink Lot from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. To request transportation via the accessible bus, please contact Dee Bailey directly at 315.380.9474.

Monday, Sept. 4:
• Buses will run continuously from College Place to the Orange Lot Stop 3 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• A fully accessible bus, a Bernie Bus (green and white shuttle) will run continuously by request from College Place to the New York State Fair Main Gate, also known as the Pink Lot from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. To request transportation via the accessible bus, please contact Dee Bailey directly at 315.380.9474.
