The聽Department of Drama in the has teamed up with Auxiliary Services to offer new dining options for students who attend classes and rehearsals at 黑料不打烊 Stage/Drama Theater Complex. Starting this semester, students and staff are聽offered a variety of food options from Food Services, right in the lobby of 黑料不打烊 Stage.

This came about after a request from College of Visual and Performing Arts Dean Michael Tick, who approached Amir Rahnamay-Azar, senior vice president and chief financial officer, to discuss food options at 黑料不打烊 Stage. Auxiliary Services Director Jamie Cyr was brought into the conversation, and from there a plan was put into place. The Food Services management team, as well as Auxiliary Services IT, worked collaboratively with VPA to make it happen.

鈥淏ecause VPA鈥檚 buildings are spread out across campus and in downtown 黑料不打烊, we have worked tirelessly to ensure that our students, faculty and staff have healthy and convenient food service options,鈥 says Tick. 鈥淚鈥檓 grateful to Amir Rahnamay-Azar Jamie Cyr, and Kati Foley, VPA鈥檚 project director, for helping us finally fulfill the needs of the Department of Drama. In addition to offering food service at the theater complex, they also made it possible for students at Comstock Art Facility to have access to grab-and-go food at Manley Field House.鈥

As a result of the changes, students and staff will have options including a full meal and grab-and-go options, along with a la carte purchases. Feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive, including one VPA student who wrote to the dean thanking him for his “advocacy in hearing drama students’ request for food options at the Stage and making it happen! You’re our hero!”
