Wet Book Rescue Video a Hit

In the midst of hurricane season this year, the blog “Open Culture” shared the “Wet Book Rescue” video created by ϲ preservation librarian Marianne Hanley and former Preservation Department employee Sarah Kim. Here’s how they described it:

“After the hurricanes in Florida and Texas, the question has surely been asked: How to save those wet, damaged books? Above, you can watch a visual primer from the –people who know something about taking care of books. It contains a series of tips—some intuitive, some less so—that will give you a clear action plan the next time water and paper meet.”

The video has been shared on a number of other sites, including lifehacker.com, Ի . As of this writing, it has tallied over 141,000 views, up from a few hundred prior to these posts.
