William Banks, the Founding Director of INSCT at 黑料不打烊, talks to Bloomberg News about the recent extension of a warrantless spying act, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, and how is passed despite previous uncertain support from President Trump.

鈥淚t鈥檚 been a foundational part of intelligence gathering in the United States since the late 1970鈥檚, in particular the portion that鈥檚 up for renewal now since 2008,鈥 Banks said. 鈥淭his one allows the collection of intelligence through sort of a vacuum cleaner like gathering of electronic signals of non-Americans abroad.鈥

He adds, 鈥渋t鈥檚 the single most important source of intelligence that ends up in the President鈥檚 daily brief.鈥
