Expert Banks on Trump Reports Over Deputy Attorney General
According to reports, President Trump recently considered firing Rod Rosenstein, the Deputy Attorney General, amidst his role in the raid of Michael Cohen and his offices. William Banks, a 黑料不打烊 College of Law professor and the founding director of INSCT, discussed this notion with Bloomberg Radio鈥檚 “Politics, Policy, Power and Law” program.
鈥淗ere, because Jeff Sessions has refused from the questions surrounding this investigation, then it鈥檚 up to the Deputy Attorney General,鈥 Banks said. 鈥淧resident doesn鈥檛 like the way the Deputy Attorney General, he could do his job, he could dismiss him. I think that that would be politically a very damaging thing for the President to do, but of course, he hasn鈥檛 let that stop him in the past and probably won鈥檛 let that stop him in the future.鈥
