Amazon has announced the date for Prime Day 2018, which will be its longest one yet – running for 36 hours straight starting on July 16 at 3 p.m. ET.

is an assistant professor of retail practice at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Whitman School of Management. He says with more than 100 million members, Prime Day will be a huge event once again.

Wimer says:

“Prime Day 2017 was the biggest sales day in Amazon history. Amazon is also extending the countries to include Singapore, Netherlands, Luxembourg and Australia (sales here could possibly be impacted on the new online tax that was just passed).

“Prime has more than 100 million members, so it will be a big event once again. Amazon now has Whole Foods so there is likely to be specials of Whole Foods private label online and they likely will be running promotions in Whole Food stores during the event.

“I believe they will be offering big discounts on their Alexa electronic products and showcase many of their new private labels like Rivet, Stone and Beam, Solimo and Presto.â€
