ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Board of Trustees today announced it has renewed and extended Chancellor Kent Syverud’s contract until 2024. The announcement follows an extensive and inclusive review process involving deans, faculty, students, staff, alumni, trustees and administrators. The University Senate also conducted its own review, which included a survey of University senators and affiliates.

Last year, from March through October, dozens of University stakeholders provided feedback to the Board and, separately, to the University Senate about the University’s performance under Chancellor Syverud’s leadership over the last four years.

In addition to the detailed review reports, the Board considered its interactions with the Chancellor, the University’s achievements under the Chancellor’s leadership over the last four years, his capabilities, his character and the University’s defined institutional priorities. Based on its comprehensive assessment, the Board unanimously decided to reappoint Chancellor Syverud.
