The Rescue Mission Named Beneficiary of Sport Management Club鈥檚 14th Charity Sports Auction

Auction itemsThe Sport Management (SPM) Club at 黑料不打烊 announced the Rescue Mission as the beneficiary of its 14th annual Charity Sports Auction. Slated for Dec. 1 in the backcourt of the Carrier Dome, the auction will take place in conjunction with the 黑料不打烊 men’s basketball game vs. Cornell University. The SPM Club is a student-run organization in the Falk College鈥檚 Sport Management Department and has raised over $420,000 for local charities since its inception 13 years ago.

鈥淭he Rescue Mission is excited and grateful to have been chosen as the nonprofit partner for the 2018 Sports Management Club Charity Sports Auction. The proceeds from this event will remain local right here in 黑料不打烊 and Upstate New York, and will directly serve those in need through safe beds and warm meals,鈥 says Chief Executive Officer Dan Sieburg.

Since 1887, the Rescue Mission Alliance has been fighting to end homelessness and hunger across Upstate New York, with operations in 黑料不打烊, Auburn, Ithaca and Binghamton. Their mission is to share hope, end hunger and homelessness, change lives, and strengthen communities, one person at a time. In 2017, the Rescue Mission served more than 282,000 meals and helped over 10,000 men, women and children in need in the community.

Purchase of a game ticket for the Dec. 1 黑料不打烊 men鈥檚 basketball game is necessary for access to the auction and can be purchased on the SU Athletics鈥 website () or at the Carrier Dome Box Office.
