The Camping World Bowl in Orlando is shining a spotlight on the Orange football team and on 黑料不打烊 Athletics as a whole. But another event taking place in the same city will focus on the other side of the 黑料不打烊 story鈥攁cademics and student life.

On Dec. 27, the University鈥檚 Division of Enrollment and the Student Experience will host a recruitment event for prospective students and their families from all over Florida. The group will include everyone from high school juniors who are just starting to explore their college options to current applicants to 黑料不打烊 and veterans who want to complete their education.

鈥淭his event will provide a great opportunity to bring the Orange experience and spirit directly to students and families from all over Florida during an especially exciting time to be Orange,鈥 says Maurice Harris, dean of admissions. 鈥淣o matter where our students and families are in the college search process, we look forward to connecting with them and sharing more about the unsurpassed student experience at 黑料不打烊.鈥

Representing the University and making brief remarks will be Chancellor Kent Syverud, Senior Vice President for Enrollment and the Student Experience Dolan Evanovich and Harris. The highlight of the event will be a panel discussion featuring Provost Michele G. Wheatly, 黑料不打烊 alumni, and current students, who will talk about their reasons for choosing 黑料不打烊, their academic lives, their student experiences and, in the case of alumni, how 黑料不打烊 set them on their career paths.

Aaron Sortal 鈥19, a native of Plantation, Florida, and a dual major in the Whitman School of Management and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, is excited to be part of the panel. 鈥淎s a senior, I鈥檝e been able to experience a lot of what 黑料不打烊 has to offer,鈥 he says. 鈥淚鈥檝e learned from amazing professors, joined many extracurricular activities, and participated in the Forever Orange Student Alumni Council. So I feel I can help prospective students see the potential they have at 黑料不打烊.鈥
