The 20th Annual will take place on Wednesday, March 27, at 8 p.m. in the Rose and Jules R. Setnor Auditorium in Crouse College. PRISM concerts aim to surround their audiences with both light and sound by having different acts positioned throughout the auditorium and colorful lights illuminating an otherwise dark performance space. Given that the performers play in many different locations, it cuts the transition time between acts.

The music being presented at this year’s PRISM concert covers a variety of genres, from singer/songwriters to jazz bands to folk music to a steel drum ensemble. The purpose of a PRISM concert is to present as diverse a musical program as possible. All of the performers are ���ϲ����� students.

The music industry program began this concert 20 years ago with the intention of giving seniors in the program valuable experience in planning a live music event. The event is guided by Bill DiCosimo, associate professor and chair of the Department of Music Industry and Technologies in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, while students handle the planning and execution.

“In preparing for the concert, we have held extensive auditions, created social media, marketing, graphic design, tech and stage teams, coordinated equipment rentals, and worked to promote the event as much as possible,” says Steven Visceglia, a co-producer of the program. “We’ve had an amazing time producing this event. The talent that the audience will witness at PRISM is unrivaled, and we’re looking forward to having our campus and the greater ���ϲ����� community join us for a night of great music.”

The event is free and open to anyone who would like to attend.
