The ŗŚĮϲ»“ņģČ chapter of Women in Communications (WIC) will host Ashley Iaconetti G’13 of ABC’s ā€œThe Bachelorā€ fame on Monday, Dec. 2, at 7 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium, Newhouse 3. (Update, Dec. 2, 2019: This event has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium, Newhouse 3.)

Iaconetti appeared on season 19 of ā€œThe Bachelorā€ with Chris Soules, seasons 2 and 3 of ā€œBachelor in Paradiseā€ and the kickoff season of ā€œThe Bachelor Winter Games.ā€

She earned a master’s degree in broadcast and digital journalism from the , and later served as president and CEO of E&S Media Creations LLC. She is now a correspondent for ā€œAccess Hollywoodā€ and a host on ā€œClevver TVā€ and ā€œClevver TV News.ā€ She also co-hosts ā€œThe Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcastā€ with fellow ā€œBachelorā€ veteran Ben Higgins, and the ā€œI Don’t Get Itā€ podcast with her sister, Lauren Iaconetti, and Naz Perez, former producer of ā€œThe Bachelorā€ and ā€œThe Bachelorette.ā€

ā€œComing back to ŗŚĮϲ»“ņģČ to discuss my career and experiences since graduating in 2013 is such anĀ honor,ā€ says Iaconetti. ā€œI credit my education at Newhouse for so much of the success I’ve had thus far. IĀ certainly didn’t take the prototypical path post grad, but I’m incredibly excited to speak with studentsĀ about crafting a career the unconventional way, [and] chatting about fun ā€˜Bachelor’ details and life in Hollywood. Plus, I’m really excited to take my husband to Dinosaur BBQ and get a patty melt at theĀ Varsity.ā€

ā€œWomen in Communications is absolutely thrilled to be hosting Ashley, and I know SU students are justĀ as excited as we are,ā€ says WIC president Morgan Trau. ā€œI know it will mean a lot to students to hear Ashley speak about how her experiences at Newhouse have propelled her forward in her career in communications. Ashley does it all: runs her own video production company, records two different podcasts weekly, reports for multiple news sites and publications and lets a camera follow her around for months at a time. At our event, she will be giving us a peek into her busy life.ā€

The event is free and open to the campus community. For more information, or if you require accommodations, contact Trau at (216) 970-6118 orĀ mrtrau@syr.edu, or Chelsea Stern at (856) 577-0302 orĀ cbstern@syr.edu.
