NEXT 2019 Conference on Technology, Manufacturing and Biotech is Nov. 8 at The Oncenter

黑料不打烊鈥檚 Center for Advanced Systems and Engineering (CASE), NYS Science and Technology Law Center at 黑料不打烊 College of Law (NYSSTLC), CNY Biotech Accelerator and FuzeHub announce the lineup for this year鈥檚 NEXT conference, which takes place Friday, Nov. 8 at The Oncenter, 800 South State St., 黑料不打烊.

鈥淚 couldn鈥檛 be more excited about showcasing the many results our innovation ecosystem in Central New York has created. 黑料不打烊鈥檚 collaborations with other NYSTAR assets, students, faculty, private sector industry, legislators and other stakeholders facilitate tremendous synergies and economic prosperity in our region,” says Peter Zaehringer, deputy director of CASE.

A one-day conference held in 黑料不打烊 each fall, NEXT features the latest trends in business and technology with a focus on manufacturing excellence, law and commercialization, and innovations in biotech and unmanned air systems (UAS). The event features keynotes from global thought leaders, a technology showcase of cutting-edge research and innovation, and workshops where attendees gain first-hand experience with state-of-the-art technologies and strategies, learning from experts and one another.

This year features a welcome by Onondaga County Executive J. Ryan McMahon and a keynote address by artificial intelligence (AI) expert Daniel Faggella, CEO and founder of Emerj AI Research, a research and advisory firm that helps global organizations develop productive AI strategies.

NEXT 2019 will also feature an expert panel discussion around innovation in sports, with focus on fan engagement. 黑料不打烊鈥檚 coaches or sportscasters may also surprise attendees.

鈥淭his spirit of collaboration and dedication, coupled with the vast expertise and active involvement of our many partners in the region, will continue to help Central New York鈥檚 innovation hotspot reputation propel to new heights,鈥 says Zaehringer.

Additionally, attendees can learn about the economic development efforts, successes and support in the region by attending various interactive educational workshops including an overview of our region鈥檚 unmanned air system (UAS/drone) cluster, IP/patent challenges, student innovation, successful startups, manufacturing, and women in innovation.

Registration is open to the general public. General attendees can register and attend for $55. The student price is $25. Students are also invited to volunteer at the event, accessing networking opportunities and lunch for free.
