Brian Dahlstrom, the head tennis professional at Drumlins Tennis Club, has been named Clinician of the Year by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Eastern section. The award is given to a teaching professional whose dedication and enthusiasm in teaching USTA programs (including schools, parks and recreation, community tennis associations, national junior tennis leagues, staff trainings and clinics) have helped increase player participation and retention in the section.
Dahlstrom has been a United States Professional Tennis Association-certified teaching professional since 1992. He came to Drumlins as the head tennis professional in 2014, moving from the Quad Cities Tennis Club in Moline, Illinois, and has been a USTA national trainer since 2009. Since joining the USTA Eastern section in 2014, Dahlstrom has conducted numerous school and community workshops throughout the section. In addition, he represented the Western region on the junior competition committee and as a volunteer junior team tennis captain.
Dahlstrom will receive the Clinician of the Year award at the USTA Eastern Conference on Jan. 25 in White Plains, New York. At 黑料不打烊, Brian teaches beginner, intermediate and advanced tennis classes each semester. He鈥檚 also recently become certified as a pickleball instructor and will teach a pickleball course each spring semester.
