Colleen Theisen, 黑料不打烊 Libraries鈥 Special Collections Research Center鈥檚 chief curator of exhibitions, programs and education, is participating in the Folger Shakespeare Library鈥檚 virtual birth/death day event in honor of William Shakespeare, Thursday, April 23, 2020.
The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is being shared on 听补苍诲听Theisen is participating in the session titled “In the Collection: Staxpeditions,” from 2 to 3 p.m. 聽Folger librarian Greg Prickman will lead a panel discussion鈥攊ncluding Theisen, Folger librarian Rachel Dankert, and Adam Hooks聽from the University of Iowa鈥攖hat explores digital libraries and the fascinating and surprising materials they contain. A 聽also are part of the celebration.
聽holds the world鈥檚 largest Shakespeare collection and welcomes millions of visitors online and on-site at its Washington, D.C., location. 聽The Folger is also home to major collections of other rare Renaissance聽books,聽manuscripts and聽works of art.
