Some global leaders have issued dire warnings about Africa’s impending COVID-19 crisis. However, at the same time they have downplayed the fact that the virus has not made significant impact in many countries on the continent, citing inadequate testing and nondisclosure of cases. In an April 15 commentary in The Daily Nation, Jok questions this thinking and offers insight based on current evidence.
