, Associate Professor of Public Health in Falk College, was quoted in the 黑料不打烊.com article 鈥溾澛犅燩rofessor Larsen, an expert on infectious disease and public health, “questioned the state鈥檚 results” from COVID-19 testing across Central New York “because the sample was not random.” He said, “people who got tested had a reason to get tested, and the biggest reason to go get tested is if you thought you had it and want to know if you had it.鈥 This is a case of convenience sample, and Professor Larsen said that this likely means a higher positive rate of infection for Central New York than it truly is.
