Artist in Residence Carrie Mae Weems was featured in the New York Times piece, “” The New York Times Style Magazine article series aims to “highlight a recent or little-shown work by a Black artist, along with a few words from that artist.” The article features a piece by Weems, known for her powerful images of African-American identity, from her new “RESIST COVID TAKE 6!” project which highlights the impact of COVID-19 on Black Americans.
