Chancellor Kent Syverud today announced the 2020-21 members of the Council on Diversity and Inclusion. The council serves as a resource to our university on critical diversity and inclusion matters, including issues related to campus climate and elevating our inherent strengths.

“The members of the Council on Diversity and Inclusion provide insight, perspective and experience as we work to further build a more welcoming campus,” says Chancellor Kent Syverud. “The council’s charge is an important reflection of our commitment to understand and to take action for the common good of our entire campus community.”

“Our work across campus on matters of equity, diversity, accessibility and inclusion is central to the mission of our university,” says Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Keith A. Alford. “The Council on Diversity and Inclusion is committed to providing the connections that will bring greater understanding among all campus community members and to promoting our shared values that will benefit and enrich all of our experiences on campus.”

The council co-chairs are Paula Possenti-Perez, director, Center for Disability Resources, and Craig Tucker, director, Arthur O. Eve Higher Education Opportunity Program and director, Student Support Services.
