Poet Jules Gibbs’ new poetry collection, “,” was recently published by ϲ Press and The Sheep Meadow Press. Gibbs in the Department of English and is a longtime board member of Punto de Contacto Gallery, where she curates the Cruel April reading series. She has taught poetry and creative nonfiction at the Downtown Writers Center in ϲ and she currently serves as vice president for the Adjuncts United teachers’ union, representing part-time faculty.
“Snakes & Babies” is Gibbs’ second poetry collection. She is also the author of “Bliss Crisis,” and her writing has appeared in many journals and anthologies, including The Antioch Review, Ambit Magazine, Plume Poetry, American Poetry Review, Gulf Coast, Barrow Street, Salt Hill Journal, Spoon River Poetry Review and Verse Daily, among others.
Gibbs will read from her new collection at two upcoming virtual book events. On April 3, she will be hosted by , a reading series sponsored by the Houston Public Library. On May 11, she will be reading at in Saratoga Springs, NY. You can read more about Gibbs and her work at .
