���ϲ����� will suspend operations beginning at 5 p.m. this evening in anticipation of extreme winter weather and challenging road conditions due to the Winter Storm Warning in effect for Central New York. Significant snow accumulation is forecast for today (Thursday, Feb. 3) and into tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 4).

In-person classes with a start time of 5 p.m. or later are canceled. The vast majority of evening activities are also canceled (more information below). Online classes will go on as planned.

Faculty, staff and commuting students should be cognizant of the weather forecast and coordinate with their supervisors or faculty regarding travel home at the end of the day. All campus buses will operate for the remainder of the day, although there may be delays.

Though on-site classes are canceled, essential student services will remain available, including the following:

• All residence halls and dining centers will remain open.
• Goldstein Student Center on South Campus and Schine Student Center on North Campus will close at 9 p.m.
• Barnes Center recreation activities will close at 9 p.m.; all other satellite recreation facilities, such as Ernie Davis and Tennity Ice Pavilion, will close at 5 p.m.
• Bird Library will close at midnight tonight and reopen at 8 a.m. tomorrow; Carnegie Library and the King + King Architecture Library will close at 5 p.m.
• Interfraternity Council recruitment kick-off will move to a virtual format. Fraternity and Sorority Affairs will send details to potential new members later this afternoon.
• The Stadium Testing Center is scheduled to open tomorrow (Friday, Feb. 4) as planned at 8:30 a.m. Any changes to the Testing Center’s operations will be communicated in the morning.

The University will continue to monitor weather conditions for tomorrow morning’s commute. In the event of continued inclement weather and if additional schedule changes become necessary, updated information will be announced via the University’s emergency broadcast notification system and will carry the notice SU WEATHER ALERT.
