Dear Students and Families:

Another busy weekend is upon us, including the remaining events for and , and the return of the . As we approach the end of the semester and the host of activities still happening on campus, please continue to be safe and stay healthy.

As a reminder, the University transitioned to COVID level “Blue,” effective Tuesday, April 19. This means the following masking guidelines are in place:

  • If you are vaccinated and boosted:
    • Masks required at all times during academic instruction (inclusive of classrooms, laboratories, libraries and lecture venues); and during non-academic events and in certain facilities, as determined by a public health risk assessment. These exceptions will be communicated directly as appropriate, to include the installation of signage as required.
    • Masks strongly recommended when indoors on campus, and outdoors in the presence of others.
  • If you are vaccine-exempt (approved religious or medical exemption), or if you have not yet received a booster dose of the COVID vaccine:
    • Masks are required at all times and in all facilities while on campus, and while outdoors when in the presence of others.

In addition to adhering to the masking guidelines, you can help lessen the spread of illness by following these healthy habits:

  • If you are sick, stay home. Call the Barnes Center (315.443.8000) if you are experiencing COVID-like symptoms.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water. Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Do not share food, drinks, chapstick or smoking devices.
  • Especially as the weather improves, try to spend time with others outdoors. If you will be indoors, open windows and doors to help circulate fresh air.

Let’s finish the semester strong. Now, onto this weekend’s events.
